Refund policy
You never pay full price for a dead location.

BucketMarket delivers competitor Google Ads audits as one-off digital reports. Every audit triggers real, metered API spend on Google Ads, DataForSEO, and other paid third parties on your behalf, so once we've started the full pipeline for a location we can't undo that work. This policy explains exactly when money comes back to you — it's designed so you only ever pay for locations where your competitor is actually running paid ads.
The short version
- ✓ We pre-screen before we spend. Before running the expensive pipeline, we cheaply check whether your competitor runs any paid ads in each location you chose. A location with no paid activity is caught at this stage — you're notified and given a choice before we incur the real cost.
- ✓ Dead locations: swap free, or refund pro-rata. For any location where we find zero competitor paid activity, you can swap it for a different metro (same country) at no charge, or take that location's price back minus a small, disclosed non-refundable research fee.
- × Delivered audits are otherwise final. No refunds for change of mind, for findings you didn't expect, or for a delivered location you simply didn't end up needing. If something is technically wrong — corrupt file, broken download link, wrong target domain — email us and we re-deliver free.
How locations and refunds work
Each order is a pool of locations. Your plan's base price includes a set number of locations; each optional add-on adds one more at a lower price. All locations in a single order must be in the same country.
A location "delivers" if your competitor is confirmed running paid ads there. A location is "dead" if our pre-screen finds none. We settle refunds against the pool, not against which slot you happened to label as base vs add-on:
- › If at least your included number of locations deliver, the base price is fully earned. Any remaining dead locations are refunded at the add-on rate, minus the disclosed add-on research fee.
- › If fewer deliver, each undelivered included location is refunded pro-rata (base price ÷ included locations), minus the disclosed base research fee; dead add-ons are refunded at the add-on rate minus the add-on fee.
- › If nothing delivers anywhere, you get everything back except the disclosed non-refundable fees — which only recover the third-party pre-screen and payment-processing cost we already incurred on your behalf.
Plans, add-ons & non-refundable fees
The non-refundable research fee is small, fixed per plan, and disclosed here and at checkout. It exists only to cover the real third-party API spend and Stripe processing fees we cannot recover when a location is dead.

Worked examples. Snapshot, your one city has no competitor ads: swap it free, or get $60 back ($69 − $9 fee). War Room, 1 of your 3 cities is dead: swap it, or about $313 back for that city; all 3 dead → $940 back ($999 − $59); a dead add-on city while the rest deliver → $270 back ($299 − $29).
Swapping a dead location
When we flag a location with no competitor paid activity, you can reply with a different metro in the same country and we'll re-run the pre-screen there at no charge, up to a reasonable per-plan limit. Swapping keeps your audit intact instead of shrinking it — most customers prefer this to a partial refund.
The 7-day window
We email you as soon as a location is flagged dead. If we don't hear back with a swap or refund choice within 7 days, we automatically issue the pro-rata refund for that location and finish delivering the rest of your audit. You're never left waiting indefinitely, and you never lose money by not replying.
Claiming a refund
In most cases there's nothing to claim — dead locations are detected automatically and we reach out to you. If you believe a refund is owed and hasn't been processed, email [email protected] with your audit ID. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days. Stripe's payment-processing fee on the original charge is not returned by Stripe; that cost is what the disclosed non-refundable fee accounts for.
EU & UK consumers
BucketMarket audits are digital services delivered on demand. By completing checkout and confirming the on-screen acknowledgement, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU/UK consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalents) is waived once processing begins. This waiver does not affect the per-location pre-screen guarantee above, which applies in all jurisdictions.
Chargebacks
Please email us first. If anything is wrong with your audit, contact [email protected] and we'll make it right. Opening a chargeback before contacting us only delays resolution for both sides.
